The worst: Here comes the NFL (again)

Talk about putting the cart before the horse: The whole of city government, desperate for a huge economic-development project to dig us out of recession, seems to be working to smooth the way politically for a gigantic AEG-developed stadium replacing part of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Maybe we could debate it a bit, to say nothing of finding a team to play there, before handing concessions to AEG's Philip Anschutz and Tim Leiweke, the pair responsible for the architectural and civic wonder that is L.A. Live?
