OVERRATED

Larry the Cable Guy, historian: The History Channel's descent into history-free madness isn't news, given its run of programming such as "Pawn Stars," but even this drawling comic seems surprised to be hosting the new "Only in America." Ostensibly a road show about Dan Whitney's sleeveless bumpkin learning bits of rural Americana, the most educational part was watching NASCAR's Bill Elliott whip Larry around in a car enough times to make him break character.
