( Fox Searchlight ) With Michael Fassbinder's turn as a sex addict in the recently released "Shame," this film by Bernardo Bertolucci has come up lately as another example of a movie that braved an NC-17 rating. While the explicit sex between Parisian siblings Louis Garrel and Eva Green tangled with "Boardwalk Empire's" Michael Pitt justifies the adults-only rating, the film's self-conscious nostalgia and plodding pace leave it a pretentious, unaffecting bore. |
