UNDERRATED

'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' (2010): Now on DVD, this film may have been hampered by featuring too much Michael Cera for its own good as a lovestruck gamer / garage-rocker, but it deserved better than the box office belly-flop it took this summer. Director Edgar Wright ("Shaun of the Dead") filled the movie with enough giddy invention to fill a franchise, and though the pop culture-obsessed story was flawed, it was disarmingly sweet. We've never seen a film like it.
