Contemporary Christian singer Jason Gray will deliver a performance Friday night that benefits Aberdeen Christian School.

The concert starts at 8 p.m. at the Dakota Event Center, 720 S. Lamont St.

Gray, 40, lives near the Twin Cities. He spent six years in youth ministry before starting a full-time music ministry in 1999. Gray, who has a speech disorder, was honored as one of Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans in 2003 by the Minnesota Junior Chamber. He is active with World Vision's Hope Initiative, which helps children orphaned by AIDS in Africa and other locales.

His songs include “I Am New” and “Remind Me Who I Am.”

Tickets are on sale at Kessler's, Inspire and Maverick's. Advance tickets are priced at $20 for adults and $10 for those 4 years old through college. Prices are $5 more at the door.
