During the winter months, the temporary exhibit “Let's Play Operation” is on display at the Dakota Sunset Museum in Gettysburg.

The Gettysburg Medical Center recently donated numerous bone instruments and medical tools that were used at the Gettysburg Hospital during the 1950s through the 1970s. Some of the tools belonged to Dr. Eugen Urbanyi, an orthopedic and plastic surgeon from Hungary who practiced medicine in Gettysburg from 1953 until 1967. Other surgeons who used the instruments were Dr. John Kumar and Dr. B.K. Ghatalia, who were from India.

The Dakota Sunset Museum's winter hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, call 605-765-9480.
