The Pi Theta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Hagerstown Community College will hold the 2012 College Completion Symposium from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in the Kepler Center on HCC's main campus.
Intended for both high school and college students, this year's symposium will feature local, state and national speakers who will discuss how students can overcome obstacles to complete a college degree.
Guest speakers include Guy Altieri, HCC president; Brien Poffenberger, president, Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce; Danette Howard, Maryland Secretary of Higher Education; and Rod Risley, executive director, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
A question-and-answer session will be held immediately following the speaker presentations.
