Eliminate in order to lose more weight

By now, it seems like there is a new diet plan for every person walking this Earth. Here's the problem though: Not everyone is giving you the whole truth.

Some people are promoting a particular endorsed product, others are using questionable, obscure research. And then there are the diet plans that are just marketing the trend of the day (think smoothie diet, wrinkle diet, grapefruit diet, cookie diet, etc.)

Looking for something to do this weekend? Find what you need in our Weekend Entertainment Guide newsletter.

The sad truth is that before you discover that none of these plans lead to long-term success, the damage has already been done. You become more demotivated than ever before, which only adds fuel to your fire that all weight-loss plans are useless.

Here's the solution you been waiting for and it's easier than you think.

Not all foods are created equal, but most so-called "weight loss experts" don't want to say "no" to you when it comes to eliminating some of your favorite foods.

Also, the reason you may not be able to lose weight can have nothing to do with cutting calories but everything to do with the quality and types of foods you are consuming. Remember, you can't cut calories forever, because eventually that type of program will break even the strongest of willpower and lead to your body holding on to even more body fat. That's not a pretty picture.

Without getting overly detailed right now, I want you to begin to eliminate the following food categories (but as always, consult your doctor first):

Eliminate:

Simple sugar (in all forms) — That means no fruit juice, soda, candy or other high-glycemic foods

Processed wheat and grain products — You have to start believing that man-made and engineered foods are the cause of obesity and to combat this, we must stop eating boxed or bag foods. Wheat and yeast alone are highly inflammatory foods that might lead to weight gain, allergies, insomnia, arthritis, depression, anxiety, high cholesterol, hypertension and many more health issues.

Must eat foods:

Vegetables — Bright, colorful veggies are great at combating inflammation within your body and they provide you with the nutrients you need to burn belly fat and feel energized.

Lean protein — How else are you going to keep your metabolism on overdrive when losing weight and feeling great? Plus, the big secret no one is telling you is that when you eat protein, you burn approximately 30 percent more calories from your body trying to break it down.

High-fiber fruits — The phytonutrients in fruits are nature's way of giving you all the vitamins you need in the form you were meant to absorb them.

Fruits often get a bad rap in diet plans, but knowing when and with what foods they should be eaten are the keys to making sure the fructose doesn't turn into body fat.

Healthful fats — Did you know your brain is predominantly made up of fat? Did you also know that good fat is a phenomenal source of long term energy? Make sure you add some healthy fats into your meals each day.

I can't stress enough the power of eliminating and choosing the proper foods for long-term, permanent weight loss.

Because I believe in doing things right the first time, I sincerely hope you take my advice and don't settle for short-term, quick fixes that have no potential of lasting results.

 You deserve better than that.
