“It’s almost like going back in time,” Washington said.
Boogie Nights kicked off on New Year’s Eve, but the first official evening was Jan. 4.
The weekly dance party hosts themed events every week, Washington said. This month Boogie Nights had a Michael Mania night with Michael Jackson impersonator and a Let’s Go Crazy evening featuring a Prince impersonator.
Throughout the evening, Washington said, patrons will see their Boogie Nights Cast, which includes an official mascot, hula-hoopers, Roller Girls, Mirror Ball man (who has a mirror ball for a head) and the DJ for the evening is Mr. Boogie.
Boogie Nights is featured at the H Lounge and will include VIP rooms that will be available to rent out. Each one, Washington said, has a distinct look — one is an all white room, another has glow cubes, another has a zebra theme and another features a chair shaped like huge lips. He said the rooms can be rented at a group rate and will also feature bottle service. See contact information in box for more information.
Washington said Hollywood Casino plans to continue Boogie Nights for the rest of the year.
Upcoming events are:
• Jan. 25 — Spin Me Right Round Friday — Special performance by the hula-hoop girls.
• Feb. 1 — ’70s Fab Friday — Partygoers are encouraged to wear his or her favorite ’70s outfits
• Feb. 8 — Stoplight party — Wear red if you’re taken, green if you’re single and yellow if it’s complicated
