SHARPSBURG—
A memorial 5K race and walk is Saturday, Sept. 8, at Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park to remember Margaret Anderson. Parking and registration packet pickup will be from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at Ferry Hill Plantation near Sharpsburg. Participants will be shuttled to the Antietam Campground where the race will begin at 9 a.m. The race is limited to 500 participants. Registration is available on the Canal Trust website at www.canaltrust.org/margaretandersonmemorial5k. The advance registration fee is $20; $25 on the day of the race.
