In this case, knowing who to pick for The Herald-Mail's eighth Oscar Picks Contest could make you $50 richer.
The Herald-Mail's Oscar contest is back. James Franco and Anne Hathaway will co-host the 83rd Academy Awards, to be broadcast live at 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, on ABC.
But picking the correct Academy Award winners in 10 categories before the big night will earn you the cash and a moment in the spotlight — a picture of you and a story about how you made your picks in a Sunday Lifestyle section.
In order to be eligible, contestants must live in Washington or Frederick counties, Maryland; Franklin or Fulton counties in Pennsylvania; or Berkeley, Jefferson or Morgan counties in West Virginia.
Herald-Mail employees and their family members are not eligible to participate.
