The Bodens have been married 55 years (submitted / November 27, 2012) |
Ralph and JoAnn (McCumbee) Boden of Clear Spring celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 29, 2012.
They were surprised June 23 with a dinner party, catered by Ernst Market, held at Broadfording Church of the Bretheren fellowship hall.
They were also surprised with a carriage ride. The horse and buggy is owned and operated by Max and Linda Reed of Triple R Livery in Williamsport.
The couple were presented with photos, videos and a scrapebook of the Boden and McCumbee families. They also recieved a basket of cards given by 55 of their friends and family who attended the celebration.
The party was given by daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Charlie Turner; granddaughters Kim Elliott and Tisha Lopez; and family member Mary St. Clair, all of Hagerstown.
Ralph is retired from Ryder Truck Lines. He also drove for Pecks and Dave Carter trucking.
JoAnn is a stay-at-home wife and mother.
