In October, church members began collecting nonperishable foods. On Sunday, Nov. 13, these foods were displayed at the church altar along with apples donated by Mountain Valley Orchard. After the service, more than 200 nonperishable food items were delivered to the food bank at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Smithsburg. The apples were donated to Homewood in Williamsport.
