Waubay taxidermist Kevin Jorgenson faces four misdemeanor counts of violation of a taxidermist license and unlawful possession of big game and birds following an investigation last month.

Acting on two search warrants, a joint team of seven agents from South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service searched Jorgenson's Main Street taxidermy business on March 9 and 10.

The counts allege the defendant had five deer hides, the hide of a skinned antelope fawn and six hen pheasants, according to the Reporter & Farmer.
