The Aberdeen Regional Extension Center will host a crop meeting and private applicator training Jan. 4 at the Ramada Inn Convention Center in Aberdeen. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 a.m.

 The main focus of the meeting will be managing dry farming conditions.

 Speakers from the South Dakota State University Extension Service will address the weather outlook, drought, soil fertility and crop tips.

 The Brown County Crop Improvement Association annual meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is at noon.

 Applicator training begins at 1 p.m.
