After reading the statement by Maryland State Highway Administrator Melinda Peters that construction speed cameras need to be operating even when workers are not present, I believe she needs another title: professional liar ("SHA defends speed camera program," Jan. 16).
I wish we were back in the early 1800s because she would be ridden out of town after being tarred and feathered. Now that we are in civilized 2013, I guess the best thing to do with her is to fire her immediately.
