State Sen. Robert J. Garagiola, D-Montgomery, Monday distributed more information about his campaign kickoff stop in Washington County Tuesday.

Garagiola, who for months has said he’s interested in running for the 6th Congressional District seat, has four campaign appearances scheduled for today as he officially announces his candidacy.

After an 8:30 a.m. meet-and-greet at Moxie Bakery and Café in Frederick, a 10:30 a.m. speech in Germantown and a 2:30 p.m. meet-and-greet in Cumberland, Garagiola is scheduled to stop at Fountain Head Country Club near Hagerstown for a “press availability” at 5:30 p.m.

Elizabeth Paul, the Washington County Democratic Central Committee’s chairwoman, wrote in an email that Garagiola will talk to reporters then.

At 6 p.m., Garagiola will attend and speak at a central committee fundraising dinner at the country club. Proceeds from the $250-per-person event will go to the central committee, not Garagiola.
