The National Republican Congressional Committee says it’s adding U.S. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett to a program that aims to protect endangered House members.
The organization said Monday that the western Maryland Republican is among 10 House members included in its “Patriot Program.” The program offers campaign assistance for those who meet certain goals.
Garagiola raised about $344,000 to Bartlett’s $104,000.
Bartlett is seeking an 11th term in the 6th Congressional District. He faces seven Republican challengers in April.
The primary winner is expected to face a tough challenge from the Democratic nominee in November due to redistricting.
