Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is scheduled to campaign in Maryland this week.
Romney’s campaign sent out a news release on Monday saying the candidate was scheduled to attend a town hall event at American Legion Post 109 in Arbutus at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Former Gov. Robert Ehrlich, an Arbutus native, is the chairman of Romney’s Maryland campaign.
Other potential stops in Maryland on Wednesday have not yet been confirmed by the campaign.
Earlier Monday, a state GOP spokesman said Romney planned to appear at a rally Wednesday night at the Frederick fairgrounds, but state campaign co-chair Louis Pope told the Frederick News-Post on Monday night that the event was "100 percent off."
Republican presidential candidates will be competing for 37 Maryland delegates in their bid to win the GOP nomination.
Maryland’s primary is scheduled for April 3. Early voting begins Saturday.
