GRAND RAPIDS—
A man was helped from the Grand River after falling into the water near the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum on Friday evening.At 7 p.m. Friday, the Grand Rapids Police Department and Grand Rapids Fire Department responded to a report of a man in the river near the Bridge Street bridge in downtown Grand Rapids. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found that another man walking by had helped the man get out of the river.
The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is located at 303 Pearl St. NW.
The man was extremely cold and firefighters said they expected him to be fine after he was treated at an ambulance.
It was unknown how the man fell into the river.
