Lappans Road (Md. 68) has been closed to traffic near Fountain Rock Elementary School while rescue workers respond to wires that were knocked down when a large truck left the roadway and severed a utility pole Wednesday morning, a Washington County Emergency Services dispatcher said.
The dispatcher said the accident was reported at 8:04 a.m. in the 17100 block of Lappans Road.
No serious injuries were reported.
