March 1 — Agronomy Day, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Crop updates, disease and weed concerns, cover crops and other related topics will be discussed. Private pesticide applicator recertification and nutrient applicator voucher continuing-education credits are available. Lunch will be served at no charge. However, attendees must register by calling 301-791-1304 no later than Feb. 27.
March 8 to May 24 — Master Gardener training program; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Admittance into the program is based on completion of the application, a background check and an interview.
