Planning the Fall Garden — Thursday, July 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Master Gardener Bill Dorman will teach the basics on planning for a fall and winter vegetable garden.

Tuesday, Sept. 11, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saving Seeds for the Future of Heirlooms — Master Gardeners Karen Greeley, Ron Brayton and Gary Stallings will lead this workshop, which will familiarize attendees with the basics of seed saving with an emphasis on heirloom vegetables. Participants will learn why and how to collect and save seeds, and learn the difference between hybrid and open-pollinated varieties. Participants will gain hands-on experience.
