A Connecticut woman was taken to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown to be treated for moderate injuries that she suffered when the vehicle she was driving traveled off the roadway and struck a tree Monday morning on Flickerville Road in Brush Creek Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Syeda S. Fatima, 30, of New London, Conn., was driving a 2002 Toyota Highlander on Flickerville Road near Fischer Road at about 6:45 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a tree and rolled onto its passenger side, according to a state police news release.
Troopers said Fatima was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Meritus Medical Center does not give the conditions of patients to the media.
The Needmore Fire Department, Needmore EMS, the Hancock Fire Department and Hancock EMS assisted at the scene.
