The Continuing Education and Community Services Division at Hagerstown Community College is offering two construction cost estimation courses for builders and contractors.
The first course, "Estimating for Builders and Contractors Part I," will be offered Wednesdays, from 6 to 9 p.m., Sept. 28 to Nov. 9. This course teaches participants how to estimate construction costs for building and remodeling projects, with a special emphasis on customizing the estimation process to suit a particular business. Cost is $215.
The second course, "Estimating for Builders and Contractors Part II," will be offered Thursdays, from 6 to 9 p.m., Jan. 12 to Feb. 16. This course expands on topics covered in the first class and will provide participants with real-life examples and exercises to help them continue customizing the estimation process to suit their businesses. Cost is $215.
