The driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was killed Thursday night when the truck was struck by an oncoming pickup truck on Mapleville Road (Md. 66) at Pacer Drive, according to Maryland State Police.
State police identified the driver as Bradley Joseph Christman, 28, of Wayne Avenue, Waynesboro, Pa.
The crash, which was reported at 6:17 p.m., occurred when a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Bryan May, 45, of Tiger Way in Boonsboro, was traveling south on Mapleville Road, state police said.
May’s truck went into the northbound lane and collided with Christman's truck, state police said.
May was taken to Meritus Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation and no charges had been filed early Friday morning police said.
Mapleville Road was closed for about 2 1/2 hours while officials worked at the scene.
Pacer Drive is north of Mount Aetna Road.
