A therapeutic tricycle that was reported missing about a month ago was recovered by police at a consignment shop in Dundalk, Md., according to a city official.
The custom-made tricycle belongs to 7-year-old Ethan Paugh of Hagerstown, city spokeswoman Erin Wolfe said in a news release.
Paugh has been diagnosed with Prader-Willi, a syndrome that causes lack of muscle development, Wolfe said.
The trike was specially equipped with features that made it safer and easier for Ethan to ride, Wolfe said. His family was able to purchase it with the help of an $8,000 grant, she said.
Detectives will return the tricycle to Ethan and his family Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hagerstown Police Department.
