Hagerstown police said there was no evidence to link three home invasions that were reported in the city this week.
Lt. Tom Langston said the most recent incident was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, when a man attempted to rob a person on the front porch of a home at 161 Ross St. He said the man then forced his way through the front door before he fled the scene.
About a half hour before the Ross Street incident, another home invasion was reported at 133 E. Franklin St. Police said that in that case, two armed men barged into the house and ransacked it. They fled without taking anything.
The first home invasion of the week was reported at 6:50 p.m. Monday at 636 George St. During that incident, officers said, an armed man and his accomplice entered the home and demanded money.
Police said the victim gave the men an undisclosed amount of cash before they fled.
Gary E. Leach, 28, address unknown, has been charged in a warrant in connection with the George Street robbery, according to police.
Anyone with information may call police at 301-790-3700.
