Property recovered in residential burglaries
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A search of a Martinsburg home Friday resulted in the recovery of property linked to four residential burglaries, the Martinsburg Police Department said.
Gregory Harland Hutzler, 22, of 119 S. High St., was charged with grand larceny as a result of the search, police said.
An estimated $9,000 in suspected stolen property was found at the home, police said. A stolen .38-caliber pistol also was found, police said.
Information also was obtained regarding a grand larceny case from a jewelry store, police said.
The investigation in ongoing, police said.
At least eight men involved in home-invasion robbery
FREDERICK, Md. — Eight or 10 men disguised with hooded sweat shirts and red bandannas were involved in a home invasion robbery Saturday morning in the 400 block of Heather Ridge Court, according to a Frederick Police Department press release.
The robbery was reported at 6:23 a.m., police said. A woman said she was standing in front of her home when the men grabbed her and pushed her inside the house. They stole items from the woman and other people in the house, police said.
One or more of the men had a firearm, although no one was injured in the incident, police said. Police had no description of the intruders.

Juvenile charged in robbery at 7-Eleven
FREDERICK, Md. — At least one person, a juvenile, has been charged in connection with an incident Saturday morning in which a clerk at the 7-Eleven on South Jefferson Street was threatened with a knife and chased from the store, according to a Frederick Police news release.
A clerk and witnesses, according to police, said several men and a woman were in and around the area of the 313 S. Jefferson St. convenience store and attempting to shoplift items around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
When questioned by the clerk, one of the men hit the clerk and displayed a knife, police said. After trying to stab the clerk, the man ordered the clerk to leave, police said.
Video surveillance from the store shows the clerk was chased from the store, and that a group of people stole cash and other items from the store, police said.
The female juvenile was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit theft, theft by possession of stolen property and second-degree assault, police said.
Police said several suspects have been identified.

Armed robbery investigated in Frederick
FREDERICK, Md. — Frederick Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at 7:23 p.m. Saturday at the Sunoco station at 1200 W. Patrick St., according to a news release from the police.
A man entered the gas station, brandished a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, police said. He then fled on foot.
The man was described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build, light complexion with a tattoo of a cross under his right eye, green eyes, and in his early 30s, police said. He was wearing dark pants, a skull cap, and a blue Windbreaker with black accents, police said.
