Greencastle man charged with striking wife
GREENCASTLE, Pa. — A Greencastle man has been charged with striking his wife during an argument over the weekend, the Greencastle Police Department said.
Jeffery Alleman, of 77 Eastern Ave., No. 1, was charged with harassment and simple assault, according to a police department news release.
Police said the incident occurred at about 8 p.m. Saturday, when Alleman allegedly struck his wife, causing a glass she was holding to break and cut her cheek.
Man who fired at groundhog from vehicle is charged
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — A Needmore, Pa., man has been charged with firing a rifle from his vehicle window last week, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Logan Marlin Barnhart, 18, was charged with a game law violation, according to a state police news release.
Troopers alleged that Barnhart fired the rifle at a groundhog Wednesday afternoon along Pa. 655 in Belfast Township.
