To help reduce the crimes, Hurd asked motorists to keep their car doors locked and their valuables out of view.
Many of the thefts have occurred as a result of vehicles being unlocked, Hurd said.

Burglary, thefts reported in Washington County
The following incidents were reported Wednesday and Thursday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:
- A burglary in the 17400 Wolford Avenue.
- Nineteen bottles of Coco Chanel perfume were stolen from the 17300 block of Valley Mall Road.
- A theft in the 14100 block of Greencastle Pike.
