FREDERICK, Md. — Police in Frederick said that a male was punched in the head multiple times and robbed in the 100 block of Willowdale Drive at Brookside Apartments early Saturday.
One of the victim's attackers was described as a black male with a thin build who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 135 pounds, according to a news release from the Frederick Police Department, which responded to investigate the alleged crime about 2 a.m.
The victim told police he was walking home and was surrounded by four or black males who were following him as he entered his building, the news release said.
The suspects went through the victim's pockets and took several items and then punched him before fleeing, according to the news release.

Liquor store burglarized
FREDERICK — The front door of a liquor store in Frederick was smashed out early Saturday and merchandise appeared to have been taken from the business, the Frederick Police Department said.
Police responded to investigate a burglar alarm at Highway Liquors at 6915 Baltimore National Pike at 4:36 a.m., according to a news release.

Telephone wires cut to businesses
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Four Franklin County businesses were affected when telephone wires were cut Thursday morning, Pennsylvania State Police said Saturday.
Century Link, Food Lion, Rite Aid and Edward Jones Financial in the 200 and 300 blocks of South Fayette Street in Southampton Township were affected by the apparent criminal mischief, police said in a news release.
The incident happened at 11:18 a.m., police said.
