Burglary, theft cases reported in Washington County

 

The following incidents were reported Friday through Monday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

• DVDs and jewelry were stolen in the 16200 block of Dundee Court.
• A burglary in the 11200 block of Eastwood Drive.
• Vandalism in the 20000 block of Mt. Aetna Road.
• Vandalism in the 9900 block of Stephanie Lane.
• A vehicle stolen in the 14600 block of Tulip Lane.
• A theft in the 11300 block of Dogwood Drive.
• A red and orange Honda dirt bike stolen in the 1100 block of Linwood Road.
• A theft in the 18400 block of Maugans Avenue.
• A theft in the 15900 block of Spielman Road.
• A purse stolen from a vehicle in the 13200 block of Fountain Head Plaza.
• A Fossil tote bag, an iPod Nano and several other items stolen from a vehicle in the 12000 block of Hopewell Road.

The following incidents were reported Wednesday and Thursday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office:

  • A burglary in the 11700 block of Oriole Drive.
  • A window was vandalized in the 1300 block of Virginia Avenue.
  • A theft in the 18100 block of Garnette Avenue.
  • Landscaping equipment was stolen in the 13700 block of Village Mill Drive.
  • A theft in the 22200 block of Troy Lane.
  • A purse, wallet, money and other items were stolen from a vehicle in the 13200 block of Fountain Head Plaza.

 

Boy suffers leg injuries when bike hits car


WAYNESBORO, Pa. — A boy riding a bicycle collided with a 2001 Ford Taurus on Monday afternoon in the first block of North Church Street.

Waynesboro police said the boy was riding east in an alley and did not stop at the intersection with North Church Street, where he hit the side of the car.

The boy was taken to Waynesboro Hospital for treatment of leg injuries, police said in a news release.



Franklin Co. Emergency Services responds to calls

The following incidents were reported by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

Tuesday

  • At 6 a.m., a residential fire alarm in the 1600 block of Paul Mark Avenue in Antrim Township.

Monday

  • At 8:55 p.m., an outside investigation in the 4500 block of White Church Road in Greene Township.

May 6

  • At 4 a.m., a commercial fire alarm in the first block of South Second Street in Chambersburg.
  • At 5:03 p.m., an inside investigation on West Spruce Lane in Greencastle.
May 5
  • At 1:19 a.m., a traffic accident in the 100 block of Mainsville Road in South Hampton Township.
  • At 3:39 a.m., a commercial fire alarm in the first block of South Main Street in Chambersburg.
  • At 11 p.m., an inside investigation in the 700 block of Raytown Circle in South Hampton Township.

 

Hagerstown police respond to incidents

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett:

April 28

  • A vehicle with a suspended registration was towed in the 100 block of West Washington Street.
  • A vehicle with an expired registration was towed from the Byers Stop N Go parking lot.
  • A theft was reported at the Walmart store on Garland Groh Boulevard.
  • A violation of a protective order was reported in the first block of East Antietam Street. An arrest was made.

April 29

  • A drunken-driving arrest was made in the 300 block of East Washington Street.
  • An attempted burglary was reported in the 100 block of Randolph Avenue. A rear glass on a door was broken.
  • An injured person was reported in the 100 block of Railway Lane.
  • A theft was reported at Emmanuel United Methodist Church at 802 Summit Ave.
  • An assault was reported at M&T Bank at 32 N. Potomac St.
  • A theft of medication was reported in the 1400 block of Hamilton Boulevard.
  • Damage to a vehicle was reported at Weis Market on Shank Farm Way.
  • An arrest was made in a theft at the Walmart store on Garland Groh Boulevard.
  • A domestic-violence referral was made in the 200 block of Jefferson Street.
  • A theft of a cellphone was reported in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

April 30

  • A domestic-violence referral was made in the 1000 block of Salem Avenue.
  • A domestic-violence report was made in the 400 block of Guilford Avenue.
  • An unattended death was reported in an apartment in the 800 block of Washington Avenue.
  • A burglary and an assault were reported in the 200 block of North Jonathan Street. A person was charged.
  • A dog bite was reported in the 400 block of Guilford Avenue.

May 1

  • An assault and resisting arrest occurred at Cancun Cantina on Dual Highway. Two arrests were made.
  • A domestic-violence report was made in the 200 block of West Franklin Street.
  • An assault was reported in the 600 block of Hayes Avenue.
  • Tires were reported damaged in the 200 block of East Baltimore Street.
  • An attended death was reported in the 300 block of South Mont Valla.
  • A domestic-violence report was made in the 200 block of North Potomac Street.
  • A domestic-violence referral was made in the 12900 block of Little Elliot Drive.
  • A window on a vehicle was reported damaged in the 1300 block of Carroll Heights Boulevard.
  • A theft of an Xbox game console was reported in an apartment in the 500 block of Salem Avenue.
  • A controlled-dangerous-substance violation was reported in the 300 block of North Jonathan Street. An arrest was made.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported at Kline Roofing at 50 E. First St.
  • A domestic-violence referral was made in the 300 block of Summit Avenue. An arrest was made.
  • A burglary was reported in the 400 block of Brown Avenue.
  • A rear license plate was stolen the 1000 block of Linwood Road.
  • A window on a car was damaged in the 70 block of West Lee Street.
  • A gas tank was reported stolen from a boat in the 500 block of Maryland Avenue.
  • A theft of a dog was reported in the 60 block of Wayside Avenue.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in Elgin Park.
  • Door locks were reported damaged on a car in the 1000 block of West Washington Street.
  • A controlled-dangerous-substance violation was reported in the 100 block of East Baltimore Street. An arrest was made.
