Washington County Sheriff's Office reports incidents
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents from 8 a.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday:
• Burglary reported in the 1200 block of South Pointe Drive, Hagerstown
• Burglary reported in the 16200 block of McGregor Drive, Hagerstown
• Burglary reported in the 16900 block of Broadfording Road, Hagerstown
• Burglary reported in the Poffenberger and Garis Shop roads, Hagerstown
Pa. man charged with stealing from Kay Jewelers
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Greencastle, Pa., man has been charged with stealing almost $5,000 worth of merchandise from a jewelry store at Chambersburg Mall, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Jeffrey Lynn Smith, 20, was charged with theft for allegedly stealing $4,747 worth of jewelry from Kay Jewelers, according to a state police news release.
Troopers said Smith stole the jewelry from June 1 to July 31 while he was an employee at the store.
