Two callers reported hearing gunshots shortly before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near Pangborn Park in Hagerstown, police said.
Lt. Tom Langston said officers searched the area of Monet Drive, but found no evidence that shots had been fired.
Officers also were seen patrolling Lynnehaven Drive and Security Road.
