A vesper service of hope and peace will be at 7 p.m. this Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Smithsburg. The service will be held as a memorial to the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Conn. Everyone from the schools and community are invited. The service will be led by Pastor Virgil Cain and Pastor Richard Hembrock.
