The following food service establishments were inspected by the Washington County Health Department in January and found to have critical violations that needed to be corrected immediately:
CiCi’s Pizza, 1580 Wesel Blvd. — * items in salad bar refrigerator found to have temperatures of 50 degrees (corrected, items stored in the refrigerator less than two hours were removed and rechilled and items in the refrigerator more than two hours were discarded); splash guard must be installed at hand sink by pizza cutting table; wall behind dough table must be smooth and easy to clean; Artic Air freezer must be cleaned inside and on lid edges; can opener must be cleaned; broken floor tiles by pizza table and dishwashing area must be repaired; base coving must be replaced by three-compartment sink; containers observed in potable ice in ice machine; scoop needed for ice machine; copy of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point plan (HACCP) needed.
Kmart, 1713 Massey Blvd. — * four-pack of Pediasure vanilla milkshakes with December 2011 expiration date observed on display shelf in baby aisle (corrected, item discarded); must use thermometers in refrigerators and freezers at store front.
The following food service establishments were inspected by the Washington County Health Department in January and found to have sanitation violations that must be corrected within 30 days:
Corsi’s Market, 601 W. Washington St. — freeze pops must be stored off floor; floor behind display case must be repaired.
CVS Pharmacy, 34. Cannon Ave. — must use thermometers in beverage air freezer, cold drink display cooler containing lunchmeat and milk cooler.
Dollar General, 22945 Jefferson Blvd., Smithsburg — must clean bottom of milk refrigerator.
Dollar General, 1117 Maryland Ave. — must provide paper towels in men’s employee restroom and soap in men’s restroom (corrected).
Downsville General Store, 8638 Downsville Pike, Williamsport — must clean hood filter; must clean fryer table; must replace light in hood.
Fuji Chinese Cuisine & Sushi, 11205 John F. Kennedy Drive — must repair three-compartment sink; hand sink blocked (corrected); must clean floor on cooking line; must keep wipe cloths in sanitizer bucket; food product must be stored off floor of walk-in; top of dish machine must be cleaned; must clean general kitchen area.
Mount Aetna Camp and Retreat, 21905 Mount Aetna Road — product must be stored off floor of walk-in freezer.
R&B Crafts & Baked Goods, Hagerstown City Market — hand sink obstructed (corrected).
Ravenwood Lutheran Village, 1183 Luther Drive — pressure in dishwasher too high; must clean fire-suppression system under exhaust hood.
Rocky’s Pizza, 11351 Robinwood Drive — must use hood filters; must maintain adequate air gap on three-compartment sink drains; HACCP plan needed.
Rocky’s New York Pizza, 22032 Jefferson Blvd., Smithsburg — HACCP plan needed.
Safron Bakery, 11205 John F. Kennedy Drive — must repair exhaust cover in walk-in freezer; missing ceiling panels over ovens; must clean soda nozzles.
Toppings Pizza, 11205 John F. Kennedy Drive — hand sink blocked (corrected); uncovered product in freezer (corrected); pizza boxes must be stored off floor (corrected); can opener must be cleaned (corrected).
