The Washington County Division of Public Works is surveying damage and assessing the condition of our local roads and bridges, county spokeswoman Sarah Lankford Sprecher said in a news release Wednesday morning.
"Washington County urges residents to be aware of their surroundings as high water is still present on many roads," she said in the release..
The following roads are CLOSED due to flooding as of 10 a.m. Wednesday:
- Battletown Road
- Bowie Road
- Cress Pond Road
- Independence Road
- Kemps Mill Road
- Leiters Mill Road
- Lehmans Mill Road
- Wishard Road
The following roads that had been closed are now OPEN:
- Antietam Drive at Maryland Metals
- Canal Road
- Clopper Road
- Indian Springs Road
- Manor Church Road
- Mt. Aetna Road at Rt. 66
- Old Forge Road
- Pecktonville Road
- Roxbury Road
- Spickler Road
- Taylors Landing Road
- Trovinger Mill Road
