Col. David N. Ramsey recently returned from a deployment to Afghanistan, and has reported to his duty assignment in Washington, D.C.
Since being commissioned a second lieutenant (engineer) in 1986, Ramsey has served in several command and staff officer assignments in the Maryland Army National Guard and on active duty.
A 1974 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, Ramsey also is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a master’s degree. He is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and previously deployed to Iraq in 2006.
The son of Master Sergeant (U.S. Army Ret.) William and Ingeborg Ramsey of Hagerstown, Ramsey and his wife, Sharon, live in Carroll County, Md., have a son Brandon, daughter-in-law Jessica, and granddaughter Cassey.
