In the jumper night competition, riders are timed on their ability to negotiate complex courses. To enhance the courses at the show, C and M Farm donated the use of many brightly painted poles. They added to the challenge as riders had to overcome their horse’s natural fears of the unusual.
Overall winner for the night was Julia Lockman, riding Hurley to first place in four classes. Other riders who met the challenges of the course included Sarah Stayer, Zoe Chapelle, Lindsay O’Brien, Mariah Chapelle, Emily Mercier, Leslie Hay and Bonnie Kepner.
The next jumper night is scheduled for June 26 at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center. The club invites all area riders to its events for 2012 season.
