Washington County unemployment down to 8.1 percent

The unemployment rate in Washington County ticked up from 8 percent in October to 8.1 percent in November as the number of people working and seeking work fell, while the number of unemployed increased, according to preliminary figures released Friday by the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
