Civil War lecture
Tim Rowland's lecture, "Why the Anaconda Plan Would Have Worked," part of the year-long Civil War Lecture Series sponsored by the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, has been postponed from Thursday, March 7, until Thursday, March 28. For information or to purchase tickets, phone 301-739-5727.

Frederick County Snow Emergency Plan lifted
The Maryland State Police at Frederick Barrack “B” report that due to improved weather
and road conditions, the Snow Emergency Plan for Frederick County was lifted at
5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Eastern Panhandle schools
All public schools in Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia are operating on two-hour delays on Thursday. Announcements were made via emails Wednesday night.
Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic
The Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic in Ranson were closed Wednesday. Patients who are scheduled for Thursday, March 7 should call 304-724-6091 and press 7 for closing updates prior to coming to the clinic for their appointment.
