A report of a flat tire at a Bothell apartment complex last weekend led to the discovery of 27 cars with slashed tires, the Everett Herald reported.

Bothell police told the Herald a woman called AAA about her car having a flat tire at 11:45 p.m. Saturday night from Canyon Pointe apartments at 1630 228th St. SE. The tow truck that arrived on the scene discovered her tire had been punctured.

Officers checked cars in the apartment complex parking lot. They discovered 26 other cars with slashed tires, the Herald reported.

Police are still investigating the incident, and told the Herald they were unaware of any related vandalism in the area.
