Tax Free Weekend is around the corner for Texas shoppers!
Texas Comptroller Susan Combs announced Thursday the state’s annual holiday is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 17-19. As in previous years, shoppers can save money on everything from school supplies, clothes, shoes and other items priced under $100. This year, state officials estimate shoppers will save about $64.8 million in state and local sales taxes during the Sales Tax Holiday.
The tax holiday weekend has been an annual event since 1999.
Lists of apparel and school supplies that may be bought tax free can be found on the Comptroller’s website.
