Wichita street named Shocker Way

Wichita renames a street in honor of the Wichita State Shockers.  The temporary change of Waterman to Shocker Way happened Friday.  The mayor and WU Shock were on hand for the change in honor of the Shockers men's basketball game at INTRUST Bank Arena.

The Shockers will play at the arena Saturday against the University of Southern Mississippi.  This will be the first game between these two teams.  The Shocker's have played at the arena twice before, in games against the University of Tulsa and the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

The street name change in front of the arena will last 48 hours. Saturday's game is at 7:05 p.m.  Tickets are still available.
