A new program is available to Sedgwick County residents that will help improve oral health. The Dental Discount Card program provides savings when presented to one of 25 participating dentists and is sponsored by the National Association of Counties (NACo) in partnership with Careington International Corporation. The Dental Discount Card program was designed to help uninsured and underinsured county residents save money on their dental service expenses, including cleanings, x-rays, braces, dentures, crowns, root canals and more.
This program is designed to complement health insurance plans and can help residents save an average of 20 percent to 50 percent on their dental care services. This affordable plan starts at $6.95 per month and $59 per year for individuals.
“The card is easy to use and will save residents money,” said Deborah Donaldson, director of Sedgwick County Division of Human Services. “Cardholders simply schedule an appointment with a participating dentist and present their card to receive a discount at the time of service.
