Berkeley County grand jury indicts 89

The following 89 individuals were indicted by a Berkeley County grand jury seated for the October term of circuit court, which began Tuesday.

An indictment merely indicates that an individual is believed to have committed the crime.


Joshua L. Stitley, 33, incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail, single counts of murder, felony murder, conspiracy, burglary, attempted murder, malicious assault, fleeing while driving under the influence from a law enforcement officer and fraudulent use of an access device, two counts of assault during the commission of a felony and two counts of first-degree robbery.

Roy L. Wisotzkey, 34, incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail, single counts of murder, felony murder, conspiracy, burglary, attempted murder, malicious assault, two counts of assault during the commission of a felony and two counts of first-degree robbery.

James G. Cross Jr., incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail, 33, on single counts of murder, attempted murder, malicious assault and conspiracy.

Thomas A. Grantham Jr., 319 S. Maple Ave., Martinsburg, on single counts of murder, attempted murder, malicious assault and conspiracy.

Jonathan F. Bennett, 40, incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail, on single counts of murder, felony murder, conspiracy, malicious assault, assault during the commission of a felony and three counts of attempted robbery in the first degree.

Dominic M. Hall, 19, incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail, two counts of death of a child by a parent, guardian or custodian, and single counts of child neglect resulting in death, gross child neglect creating a substantial risk of bodily injury or death, and conspiracy.

Jessica L. Skupnick, 23, 192 Butterfly Lane, Hedgesville, W.Va., two counts of death of a child by a parent, guardian or custodian, and single counts of child neglect resulting in death, gross child neglect creating a substantial risk of bodily injury or death, and conspiracy.

Justin M. Beall, 23, 8097 Castle Rock Court, Pasadena, Md., one count of animal cruelty.

Benjamin J. Bean, 36, aka 4th Grade, of Hagerstown, one count of conspiracy to malicious assault.

Craig L. Newcomer, 46, aka Guido, 117 W. Third St., Waynesboro, Pa., single counts of malicious assault and conspiracy to commit malicious assault.

David W. McDaniel, 48, 1545 Sulphur Springs Road, Inwood, W.Va., single counts of DUI with death, driving revoked for DUI and no proof of insurance.

Marshall G. Martin Jr., 40, 210 W. Martin St., Apt. 2, Martinsburg, one count of first-degree arson.

Sharnjeet A. Singh, 23, 205 N. Raleigh St., Martinsburg, 11 counts of wanton endangerment.

Mark A. Chambers, 42, 111 N. Kentucky Ave., Martinsburg, single counts of burglary and petit larceny.

Matthew D.E. Barton, 27, 34 Harwin Ave., Bunker Hill, W.Va., single counts of first-degree attempted robbery, assault during the commission of a felony, burglary, petit larceny, destruction of property, assault, fleeing from a law enforcement officer by means other than use of a vehicle, and breaking and entering an automobile.

David D. Brice, 32, 44 Sperry Ave., No. 5, Martinsburg, one count of delivery of cocaine.

Jammie M. Sims, 34, 518 Packhorse Ford Road, Martinsburg, one count of welfare fraud.
