Flanked by their respective wedding parties, Jacinta Johnson and Jason Ingream of Greencastle, Pa., tied the knot before an audience Sunday afternoon at Hager Hall Conference and Event Center.
The Ingreams’ wedding was part of the first Live Wedding Expo held at Hager Hall, and it included everything from start to finish, said Cynthia Fowler, banquet manager for the event center.
“We have the bridal ceremony set up, and the bridal reception part is set up as well,” she said.
About 180 friends and family were expected to attend the wedding, which included a reception afterward with food and drinks.
“This is the first time they’ve ever done this, so it’s really exciting,” said a smiling Jacinta Ingream, dressed in her strapless white gown prior to the ceremony. “A lot of butterflies going on here.”
The new Mrs. Ingream is a manager for Littman Jewelers, one of the expo’s sponsors.
“It was something that we had talked about and it was offered to me through, of course, with business and getting all the businesses together,” she said, adding that the owner of Hager Hall took part in the wedding as her husband’s best man.
Fowler said the facility offers wedding packages with everything needed for the big day, including an attached hotel, space for the ceremony and reception, staging areas for wedding parties and a bar to the rear of the main banquet room.
Including an actual wedding as part of the expo gives those planning weddings a chance to see all that Hager Hall can offer, Fowler added.
Asked if she considered a more traditional route for her big day, Jacinta Ingream said it was just “special” to have it at Hager Hall, and she and her husband wanted to do it that way.
“I think this would be great for anybody who would want to come and do this event and get married (here),” she said. “They’ve done a lot for me and this is going to be a special day for me.”
