A collision on Jefferson Boulevard involved four vehicles Tuesday when one vehicle that stopped behind a school bus was hit from behind, setting off a chain reaction, Deputy Ryan Socks of the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.
The school bus was not hit, and nobody was injured.
The driver of a Buick heading westbound on Jefferson Boulevard stopped behind a school bus and the Buick was struck from behind by a Toyota Corolla. A Toyota RAV4 then hit the Corolla from behind, and a Chevrolet Tahoe struck the rear of the RAV4, Socks said.
Each vehicle had one person in it except for the Tahoe, which had two, Socks said.
The Tahoe and the RAV4 had to be towed away, but the other two vehicles did not, Socks said.
Police responded to the accident at 7:51 a.m. Tuesday but did not block off the road. The scene was cleared by 8:45 a.m.
