Paul N. Crampton III recently was elected chairman of the Washington County Gaming Commission.
Crampton, a resident of Funkstown, was appointed to the commission in 2010 by Del. Leroy Myers and was reappointed in 2012 to his second two-year term by Del. Andrew Serafini.
The gaming commission is a seven-member board charged with the distribution of gaming funds to charitable organizations in Washington County. The members are appointed by the Washington County Board of Commissioners and the county delegation to the Maryland General Assembly.
Jan Cirincione of Hagerstown was elected vice-chairwoman of the commission. She was appointed to the commission in 2011 and is serving her first two-year term.
